I absolutely love how they speak, it’s a shame we no longer do so but I completely agree, definitely needs reviving! I’m determined to call someone an ‘Insufferable lout’ The dialogue is something I love so much about this series and the Victorian era
Yes, that language is dead, but the world is still full of insufferable louts–only now we call them f@%king a@%holes. The old terms are so much more elegant!
“He is an intelligent and practical child.”…”And yet he cries in his sleep”Man, people and their blindness to their children. “Not my Kid!”Children are just as unpredictable and cunning as their adult counterparts.
