Where does it say that Sherlock Holmes has to be tall? A director’s job is not only to take into account the physicality of a character but who could best bring the character to life. Robert Downey Jr.is an amazing actor who has played real-life legends such as Charlie Chaplin- he was nominated for an Oscar for that role. I think he will be fantastic and from the trailer looks awesome!

Because it is a Guy Ritchie adaptation! He needs someone who is going to be all rough and tumble like most of his main characters. I think it looks absolutely brilliant and I can’t wait to see it!

In some of the “Hammer” films, Peter Cushing (Grand Moff Tarkin) from Star Wars) is Holmes, and he did just fine! He also played Van Helsing in a number of those films.http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001088/
